We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management, with experience in fine dining and high volume environments. As a Sous Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and service.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance team performance.
- Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on special events and banquet preparations.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed by all kitchen staff.
- Participate in shift management to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new dishes based on seasonal ingredients.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Experience in fine dining, catering, or banquet settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and food service management principles.
- Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
