Position Title: Host / Hostess

Overview:
La Monique, a French Riviera–inspired fine dining restaurant, is seeking a gracious, polished, and service-oriented Host/Hostess to be the first and last impression of our dining experience. The ideal candidate exudes warmth, professionalism, and poise, ensuring each guest feels personally welcomed and cared for from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet all guests upon arrival with elegance, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality.

• Manage the reservation book and guest flow to ensure a smooth, efficient seating process.

• Communicate table status and guest preferences with Captains, Servers, and Management to maintain seamless service.

• Escort guests to tables with confidence and grace, presenting menus and ensuring comfort before service begins.

• Confirm and manage daily reservations, VIP notes, and special requests through coordination with the management and culinary teams.

• Assist with maintaining the appearance and ambiance of the entrance, podium, and lobby areas.

• Handle guest inquiries, phone calls, and emails with professionalism and discretion.

• Support the restaurant management team in maintaining guest satisfaction and addressing feedback thoughtfully.

• Maintain detailed guest recognition notes to enhance personalized service.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in French or Spanish is an advantage.

• Familiarity with reservation systems such as SevenRooms, Resy, or OpenTable.

• Graceful under pressure, with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
