We are looking for a General Manager to oversee guest and all guest interaction, all team members and other managers, caterings, P & L, labor, and all operations of our restaurant. This includes strategies and functions of managing people and enforcement of company policies. To be successful in this role, the General Manager should have strong time management skills and be a confident decision-maker, helping team members develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits and guest counts are on the rise. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive. Our hours of operations are from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Oversee accuracy and timing of all caterings
- Design strategy to meet and beat company goals
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Enforce company policies and processes
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Skills
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
- Strong analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
