Boka Restaurant Group, the company behind some of Chicago's top restaurants, is currently seeking an experienced Events Sales Coordinator to oversee multiple units!

***This role will oversee Alla Vita, BOKA, and GG's Chicken Shop, and will be a combination of base pay + commission, with an estimated overall salary total of 60-65k***

Schedule:

  • Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00am – 6:00pm, with the understanding that your schedule could change based on the event schedule.



Events Sales Coordinator's Responsibilities:  

  • Providing administrative support for the Event Sales Manager including but not limited to Banquet Event Order and contract creation, menu printing, calendar updating, etc.
  • Receiving & responding to small scale event inquiries and conducting all correspondence with prospective and confirmed clients as assigned by Event Sales Manager
  • Overseeing and managing events on site as assigned by Event Sales Manager
  • Arranging and coordinating any third-party vendors needed for events
  • Auditing Open Table & Tripleseat to make sure all event information is correct across both platforms (we will train how to use both programs!)
  • Ensure timely follow-up with clients including Thank You’s and outreach for repeat business.
  • Closing the events and collecting final payment from clients.
  • Update menus on Indesign (we will train you on how to use this program!!!)
  • Participating in weekly BEO meetings to review all pertinent details regarding all up-coming events and catering at the related entities.
  • Involving yourself in developing and creating specialty items pertaining to each event, such as the printing of any menus and place-cards, along with any other details designed to make the event completely unique.

Qualifications:
 

  • Experience in an office setting
  • Experience in hospitality preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Flexible schedule

 

This is an ideal position for someone who is dedicated to providing great service and is seeking to become a member of a hard-working and fun team! 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds 
  • Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, & cleaning chemicals 
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces 
  • Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environments
