STARR Restaurants and James Beard Award–winning Chef Mark Ladner are reimagining Babbo — a storied Italian institution that helped define New York’s dining landscape — with a bold new chapter debuting this October.

Chef Ladner’s return to the very kitchen where his culinary journey began is nothing short of momentous. Building on his celebrated work at Lupa and Del Posto — where he earned two Michelin stars and a four-star New York Times review — his reimagined menu will honor Italy’s rich regional traditions through his unique and visionary lens. This is paired with a world-class wine program featuring benchmark producers and rare, cellar-worthy gems. 

We are seeking passionate and disciplined Line Cooks for PM service to join our culinary team and be part of a thoughtful, ambitious reopening — a unique opportunity to work under a celebrated chef in an environment where ingredients, technique, passion, and genuine collaboration come together in every dish.

Desired qualifications: 

• 2+ years of experience as a Line Cook, preferably in a Italian-inspired restaurant
• Willingness to take direction and desire to learn and grow within the industry
• Understanding of classic sauces, cooking techniques, and knife cuts
• Ability to manage a station from prep to service
• Punctual, hard-working, and dependable
