Rubirosa Pizza & Ristorante is looking for a CHEF to join our team.

Rubirosa is a 15 year old restaurant with a family restaurant history dating back 60 years in NYC. We are a neighborhood family-owned restaurant specializing our thin crust pizza recipe as well as updated versions of Italian-American classics.
Ideal candidate will have experience in managing a HIGH VOLUME Italian kitchen and be excited to work in a true family atmosphere with amazing staff and regulars.

Strong Italian Foundation with Pasta/Pizza skills is required
Experience : 5+ years running high volume kitchen

DOH : maintains a DOH compliant kitchen at all times.
Pro-Active Mindset : Ability to problem solve quickly and communicate efficiently with other members of staff before and during service.
Communication: Ability to present challenges, issues to FOH and BOH management and work with constructive feedback.
Staff Development: Experience in staff coaching and training to ensure new and existing team members' success, and communication with management team to solve any HR-related issues
Strong Line Skills: Regularly work the line and be able to step into any station when needed to lead the team to success.
Scheduling: Weekly scheduling of the entire kitchen.
Staffing: Ability to coach the team.
