Job Details
oHHo The Old Firehouse is seeking a talented and experienced General Manager to lead a dynamic team in Bedford, New York. oHHo The Old Firehouse is the flagship store for the brand oHHo - a functional wellness brand. The shop is a full concept shop and cafe that is open from 8am-9pm serving coffee and pastries to wine and pizza in the evening. The role is very active and requires someone who can lead strongly, and has a high level of critical thinking. Our team relentlessly pushes to be “great,” as we have consistent local customers. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the overall performance and success of location, including the entire operations of front and back of the houses
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures, where applicable
  • Efficiently manage front of the house schedules
  • Performing routine and assigned opening and closing procedures
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and financial reporting
  • Monitor and control costs, including food and labor costs for front and back of the house
  • Maximize profitability through effective cost management and revenue generation
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff for front and back of the house
  • Address any issues with a quick solve and ease
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and addressing customer concerns.
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews and feedback
  • Maintain high standards of food and service quality
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Monitor and control food and beverage costs through effective inventory management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Implement training protocols and follow through with them for staff
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations that may impact the restaurant, as well as industry trends and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with local health regulations, labor laws, and licensing requirements
  • Know how to work Toast and train to others
  • Handle emergencies and unexpected situations effectively
  • Develop a relationship with the guests, welcome everyone

oHHo is looking for someone with 2-3 years experience for this role. Must be able to commute to and from work easily. Able to have a flexible schedule due to the needs of the business, to work weekends, able to work nights when needed. Able to organize and communicate efficiently and effectively to both upper management and staff. Demonstrate positive leadership through a positive attitude. To jump into problem solving mode when necessary. Knowledge in health and safety regulations. A history of hospitality work. Thrives in fast-paced challenging work environments while remaining calm under pressure.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($60,000.00 - $80,000.00)
