Birdsong is a 2 Michelin starred restaurant in San Francisco, focused on heritage cuisine by Chef Chris Bleidorn.
We are seeking a passionate Lead Captain to continue growing and building upon our core dining room team.
The Lead Captain at Birdsong takes responsibility for helping maintain and build our standards of service and upholds a warm atmosphere of hospitality and service at Birdsong. The position is a key figure in the dining room team, taking on leadership responsibilities with training dining room staff, scheduling, overseeing the guest experience, on-boarding new employees, inventory and maintenance duties, and maintaining streamlined communication between our kitchen and dining room.
Job requirements:

- Passion for food, dining, and genuine hospitality

- Problem solving ability, especially in a high stress environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to train and grow staff
- Strong wine knowledge
- At least 2-3 years of experience (fine dining environment preferred)
The interview process will include an in-person meeting, followed by an observational stage.
