General Manager

Elske restaurant, led by Chefs David and Anna Posey (1 Michelin star, James Beard nominated, Bon Appetit #2 Best New Restaurant, Eater Best New Restaurant) is looking for a General Manager.

Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off. Schedule is 5 days per week (Thursday through Monday).

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the team, ensuring that standards of service are met.
• Maintaining a positive workplace environment based on respect for our team members, guests and the restaurant.
• Interviewing, hiring, and training new staff.
• Payroll
• Contributing to our employee training materials, working with staff to improve performance through both in-the-moment coaching and scheduled reviews
• Opening duties: leading pre-shift meetings, communicating with the kitchen, bar, and wine director regarding menu changes, adjusting staffing according to daily covers, making sure staff and dining room are ready for service
• Maintaining an active and involved presence on the floor, including managing the flow of service and communication between the servers, hosts, kitchen and bar, overseeing our guests' experience, maintaining the physical space and attending to any urgent maintenance issues.  
• Closing duties, including: reconciling cash, checking server closing sidework and performing a final walkthrough of the restaurant.
