After Chicago is a cocktail bar in Fulton Market from two-Michelin-starred Chef Curtis Duffy and the team behind Ever Restaurant. We are known for our ingredient-driven cocktails, curated non-alcoholic offerings, and vibrant late-night energy. Our team is dedicated to precision, creativity, and genuine hospitality in every guest experience.

The host position is one of the most important in a restaurant, as it is the first person to meet our guests as well as the last person before they depart for the evening. This is an ideal position for someone who is dedicated to providing great service and is seeking to become a member of a hard-working and fun team! Experience controlling high volume is preferred, but not necessary.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Opentable or Similar Reservation Management Platforms
Previous Host Experience
Customer Service Skills
Appropriate Customer Language/Communication
Effective Communication Skills
Moving Safely Through All Areas of the Restaurant
Ability to Lift 10 20lbs if Necessary
Ability to Stand and Walk for an Eight Hour Shift

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 10- 20lbs if necessary.
Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment.
Stand and walk for the entirety of an eight-hour shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant.
