Cafe Chelsea is now hiring OVERNIGHT COOKS for our all day french american restaurant at the Hotel Chelsea. We are looking for experienced hospitality professionals to join our team. You will need to work with the Chefs upholding our standards in food and workplace culture. You will assist in managing overnight food, prep, cleanliness, organization, and all other items the Chef requires. We are currently focused on candidates with part-time availability
As an overnight cook, you will be responsible for preparing food during the late-night or early morning hours, when the rest of the kitchen staff is off-duty. This roles is crucial since you will be serving food to the hotel guest.

About This Role
As an overnight cook you will be responsible for preparing food during the late-night or early morning hours, when the rest of the kitchen staff is off-duty. This role is crucial in our establishment since you will be providing the food for the rooms. You will also be doing early preparation for the next day’s service—such as kitting sauces, cutting vegetables and anything extra the chef might need.
Schedule would be from 10:00 pm until 6:00 am with 30 minute break.
Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Executes food, beverage, service, and hospitality service that aligns with SHG brand
- Methodically approaches food production and quality standards with a keen eye to detail
- Organizes kitchen space and enforces the same standards with the kitchen team
What You Bring
- Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in high-volume restaurant kitchen
- Analytical and organizational skills; the ability to define and solve a variety of changing situations under stress
- The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbs
- Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
