Overview:
As a Runner at The Nest, you are a key part of our Front of House (FOH) team, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming guest experience. You’ll support the team by delivering food to tables, bussing and cleaning tables, maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area, and assisting with FOH upkeep and maintenance. Your attention to detail and hospitality help ensure every guest feels cared for and every space looks its best.
What You’ll Do:
- Promptly deliver food and other items to guests.
- Bus and reset tables efficiently to maintain smooth service flow.
- Keep FOH areas—including dining room, beverage stations, restrooms, and entryway—tidy, stocked, and guest-ready at all times.
- Assist with light cleaning and maintenance tasks (sweeping, wiping surfaces, trash removal, restocking supplies).
- Provide friendly, attentive service by checking in with guests and supporting the FOH team in meeting guest needs.
- Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely service.
- Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Anticipate guest and team needs to create a smooth, enjoyable dining experience.
- Prepare, package and ensure all delivery/pick up orders are packaged with cutlery, napkins and each item ordered.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a guest-first mindset.
- Able to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
- Previous restaurant, café, or hospitality experience is helpful but not required — we’ll train the right person!
