We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff member o join our team. We are an extremely busy bakery and this role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring smooth operations at the front of the house. This role requires long term availability with early morning and weekend availability being a MUST. We are not currently accepting seasonal or temporary positions.
We are looking for someone who is able to work in a small space, move quickly, friendly, doesn’t mind answering the same questions over and over, self-reliant, can easily adapt, clean, & efficient. This position isn’t for someone looking for a chill barista job. We’re a very small team so everyone wears all the hats & being reliable is a MUST.
You’ll be responsible for taking and packing orders, making drinks, prepping sandwiches, as well as dishes, cleaning tasks, making boxes, etc. We do get very busy and the rushes can last for hours at a time. There are many days we don’t stop moving from the time we open until we close.
Duties
• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and positive first impression.
• Manage cash register operations, including cash handling and processing transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation and service as needed, adhering to all food safety protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with back of House to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain communication throughout service periods.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills to handle peak hours smoothly while maintaining quality service.
Requirements
• Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and team members professionally.
• Ability to work flexible hours. Weekend availability is a MUST
