Job Details

As a Pastry Cook at ilili, you will focus on creating exceptional dessert offerings for the restaurant each and every day.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned daily 
  • Prepare and produce designated items follow recipes and yield guides to maintain high standards of product 
  • Scaling of recipes appropriately. Prepare sauces, batters, ice cream, and garnishes as needed 
  • Prepare, clean, and maintain pastry area and ingredients for proper use in the kitchen 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about pastry ingredients and art 
  • Participate in research and development of pastry offerings throughout the year 
  • Communicate with other team members and management regarding food items and orders 
  • Promptly reports to management any quality or quantity issues of the product 
  • Train new Pastry Cooks (as needed) on delivering excellent service while maintaining standard shift responsibilities noted above; such training to occur on-the-job with new Pastry Cooks shadowing you as you perform your key responsibilities 
  • Assist fellow team members as needed to ensure seamless customer experience 

 

As a member of our team you should have: 

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment in a similar role 
  • Culinary degree with a concentration in Pastry arts preferred, but not required 
  • Accurate knife skills, the ability to read and follow recipes, and in-depth understanding of sanitation regulations 
  • Ability to communicate clearly with Managers, kitchen team, and FOH staff 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach for up to 9 hours and up to 25 lbs 
  • Proven track record of dependability and a passion for hospitality 
  • Flexible availability: weekends, nights, and holiday availability is a must!
