Tesiny is a new bar and restaurant that recently opened in South Philly! We are looking for knowledgeable bar staff to head our Front of House team. Experience with cocktail menu development and 3-4 shift availability is required.
Expect lots of Old World wines, specialty cocktails, amari, sherries, vermouths, and martini service. Our food menu revolves around our raw bar and charcoal grilled section so we are looking for someone to compliment our extensive bar program.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, prepare, and serve orders to according to the standards of the restaurant and guest preferences
- Provide warm, courteous, and elevated service to all guests of the restaurant
- Ensure that bar area stays neat and orderly, and that health & safety standards are being upheld routinely
- Engage with guests, and proactively suggest ways to enhance the guest experience
- Maintain expert knowledge of all food and beverage of the restaurant
- Be collaborative in building cocktails for the menu and developing new cocktail recipes
- Handle cash/card transactions accurately and responsibly
- Take accountability for the product and profitability of the bar with the ability to cost out products for beverage and cocktails in development
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Full-time availability, nights and weekends
- Expert knowledge of beer, wine, cocktails and spirits
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced restaurant
- Professional, passionate approach to the world of food, drink, and hospitality
