Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage/Dept Manager
Overview: The Host(ess) will work for this new restaurant and interact one on one with guests dining in the outlets. The host will ensure complete satisfaction for all guests in the restaurant, adhering to proper procedures and standards. taking guest orders, providing beverage service including tableside wine service, utilizing club service standards, anticipate and monitoring guests’ needs, and ensure satisfaction. This will also include preparing dining rooms and back of house for service, keeping all areas clean and immaculate. The server will maintain top-level product knowledge, knowing all aspects of the menu and beverage offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Host(ess) at Little Horse Tavern will require elevated service knowledge and skill, consistently following sequence of service utilizing proper procedures and standards
- Providing guests exceptional service throughout all phases of their experience at the restaurant through greeting, escorting to their seats, taking orders when necessary, supporting service staff, taking room service orders, thanking guests as they depart
- Creating and controlling the dining experience for all guests through proper flow and rotation of servers to ensure all guests’ needs are met
- Communicating seamlessly with the service team, management, and culinary team regarding flow, special attention guests
- Maintaining all equipment, tools, and supplies while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department, and local health department communicate any equipment problems with management
- Working as a team and effectively communicating with management, and fellow staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other team members
- Be knowledgeable for all activities and events onsite and in the city
- Maintain confidentiality of all members and Club information
- Follows grooming and uniform standards established for this role
- Working as a team, effectively communicating with management and co-workers
- Ensure that member and associates areas are maintained in a safe and secure environment
- Always being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team members
- Performs all other duties as directed by immediate supervisor
Qualifications
- 1 year experience as a host(ess) or similar customer service, including experience in high-end restaurants, hotel, retail, or club environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions well, make quick decisions, and keep organized while under pressure
- Must possess a positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure as a team
- Must be self-motivated, polite and energetic
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks and physically able to lift and carry heavy
trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware
- Excellent customer service skills
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
- Must be dependable and available to work within the club on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands
- Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite and energetic
