About us
Kinzie Chophouse is a classic Chicago steakhouse with a contemporary Mediterranean influence established in 1991 and is woman-owned and independent. We serve elevated, thoughtful cuisine in an intimate, hospitality-forward room and are accepting resumes for experienced servers to join our front-of-house team.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver warm, professional, guest-first service from greeting to check presentation.
- Confidently guide wine and menu selections; suggest pairings.
- Maintain accurate order entry and timing with POS and expeditor.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar to ensure smooth, timely service.
- Maintain dining room cleanliness and complete side work.
- Knowledge of various steak cuts and dry aging processes.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years (minimum) fine dining or high-end steakhouse serving experience.
- Deep wine knowledge and the ability to confidently make pairings and recommendations.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and guest-relation skills.
- Comfortable with POS systems and basic Microsoft Office tasks.
- Able to stand long periods and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Certifications & compliance
- BASSET
- ANAB/ANSI-accredited Food Handler training (e.g., ServSafe, Food Handlers)
