Bayberry Garden, the thoughtfully casual Coast Modern restaurant is looking for line cooks who can match our enthusiasm for the best in New England cuisine. You are hard working and dedicated to perfecting your craft. You have exemplary people skills, the desire to learn and grow, and you work nicely with others. You excel at completing work you can be proud of, in a timely manner, while being respectful of others' time, space, energy, lifestyle, hygiene and humanity.  

The ideal candidate must:

  • have a minimum of 1 year line cook experience.
  • be able to leave their ego at the door and thoughtfully collaborate with the team on all levels.
  • have a sense of humor and a can-do attitude.
  • have a strong desire to learn and grow with a supportive and ambitious restaurant family.  

Compensation includes a competitive hourly wage and a kitchen team service fee payout (a % of sales that is distributed to our hardworking kitchen staff). We also offer medical, dental, vision, an employee discount dining program and 401k. 

From owners Tom and Natalie Dennen and located in Providence’s Innovation District, Bayberry Garden is devoted to impeccable guest experience, with ample outdoor seating, a locally-driven menu, and, international beverage program of thoughtfully crafted beers, wines, and cocktails. Bayberry Garden offers an abundant of food offerings - including a weekly rotating "Let Us Cook for You" experience, a collaborative tasting menu inspired by what's in season. 

This position requires a certain level of physical activity. Applicants should be able to stand/walk for 9+ hours, maneuver through tables and chairs, and, lift and carry moderate sized and/or heavy objects up to 30 pounds (for example, a case of potatoes). 

Bayberry Garden is located at the Dyer before Ship bus stop, and is accessible via the 1, 3, 4, 51, 54, 58, 62, 72, 92 RIPTA bus lines.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $21.00) plus tips
