Sommelier

We’re looking for a Server / Sommelier to join our team—someone who’s as comfortable recommending a wine as they are taking an order, and who is excited to provide exceptional service in a fun, collaborative environment. If you have a passion for wine, a love for food, and a knack for making people feel at home, we want to hear from you!

• Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for wine with guests, helping them find the perfect bottle or glass to match their tastes and the meal they’ve ordered.
• Offer thoughtful wine and food pairing recommendations to enhance the overall dining experience.
• Keep the wine list top of mind, staying familiar with our offerings and the latest wine trends. Make suggestions for guests who are looking to try something new.
• Manage wine inventory, ensure proper storage, and assist in keeping our wine cellar organized.

• Provide warm, attentive service to guests, making them feel welcome and ensuring a smooth dining experience from start to finish.
• Take food and drink orders, answer questions about the menu and wine list, and ensure guests are satisfied with their meal.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, making sure to check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure everything is just right.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including resetting tables and assisting with general restaurant upkeep.

• Engage with guests in a friendly, approachable way, explaining wine offerings, the menu, and answering any questions they have about pairings or wine regions.
• Educate guests about the wine list, including giving recommendations based on their preferences or what they’re eating.
• Build relationships with regular guests, remembering their preferences and creating a personalized experience.

• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service, from order accuracy to timing and delivery.
• Opening and closing duties, including stocking, cleaning, and ensuring the dining area is always ready for guests.
• Ability to work independently and handle FOH on your own, when needed

What We’re Looking For:

Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting, especially in a server or wine-related role, is a plus.
• Passion for wine, coffee and food, with a desire to learn and share that knowledge with others.
• Comfortable recommending wines, offering pairings, and talking about the menu and wine list confidently (training will be provided if you’re not an expert yet!).
• Strong communication skills—both with guests and the rest of the team.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.
• A willingness to work as part of a team and help out wherever needed, from taking orders to serving drinks and food.

• Wine certifications or formal training (like WSET or CMS) are great, but not required. Enthusiasm and a desire to learn are just as important!
• Basic knowledge of food and wine pairings or a desire to learn about them on the job.
• Coffee knowledge and ability to make espresso drinks
