Job Title: Porter / Prep Cook
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Porter/Prep Cook with proven kitchen experience to join our bar team. This hybrid role is essential in keeping both the kitchen and facility clean, organized, and running smoothly while assisting with food preparation. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and thrives in a fast-paced bar environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, storage rooms, and bar back areas

Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment

Assist chefs and bartenders with daily prep, including chopping, portioning, and stocking ingredients

Ensure all food is stored, labeled, and rotated properly according to health and safety standards

Receive, organize, and stock deliveries, maintaining inventory as directed

Take out trash and recycling, keeping work areas safe and clutter-free

Support bar staff by restocking supplies, glassware, and ice as needed

Assist in setup and breakdown for service and special events

Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately to management
Qualifications:

Previous kitchen/prep cook experience is required (must have hands-on experience handling food, prepping ingredients, and working in a kitchen environment)

Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in a busy environment

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
