Job Summary:
The Lead Barista role at Bridee is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea drinks, maintaining a clean and organized work area, serving pastries and processing guest payments, as well as engaging with guests to ensure a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and food, a strong attention to detail, the ability to create high-quality beverages consistently, and has a friendly and engaging personality.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing all drinks for service following all recipe & portion control guidelines
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies at start and end of shift.
- Lead by example and exhibit superb customer service skills while assuring the rest of the team carries it out as well
- Successfully handle any service issues during the shift and provide proper solutions to keep guests happy and retain them
- Accountable for cash counting at the beginning / end of their shift and assuring that the team is handling cash correctly, approving discounts where applicable, and processing refunds when applicable and approved
- Ensure full compliance with hygiene/sanitation regulations and safety standards, per DOH guidelines
- Maintain food presentation, restaurant cleanliness, and overall appearance of interior and exterior of the café.
- Goes above and beyond to support and develop the team with the help of the Cafe Manager, while adhering to KHG standards.
- Having detailed knowledge of the menu and articulating those details with enthusiasm, taking all guest’s orders, executing beverage service adhering to proper standards.
Successful candidates will:
- 1 Year working in a leadership role or experience leading a team, with a strong preference for coffee, food, and bakery items
- Be oriented towards detail, care, and collaboration
- Be reliable, focused, organized, communicative, and
- Be able to self-manage as well as be managed
- A demonstrably positive and friendly demeanor
- A natural inclination towards leadership and team-oriented skills
- A flexible schedule and are available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Existing Food Safety Certification required for the state you will be working in and your specific role, or will obtain it within 30 days post-hire
