Restaurant Group
13th Street Kitchens, a restaurant collective founded by Michael and Jeniphur Pasquarello, is run by a tight knit family of passionate food and beverage experts and enthusiasts.
Founded in 2003 and built around five distinct locations throughout Philadelphia and South Jersey, 13th Street Kitchens’ concepts are unified through their shared passion for seasonal and local food and beverage, high integrity sourcing, and genuine hospitality.
Café Lift - In 2003, Michael and Jeniphur Pasquarello opened Café Lift, housed in a historic, refurbished factory along 13th Street in Philadelphia’s Callowhill neighborhood. 19 years later, they are still serving brunch to the crowds, daily from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. The menu evolves seasonally, and all ingredients are sourced from responsible growers, and hyper-locally whenever possible. Café Lift proudly serves quality coffee drinks brewed with 4Ever Coffee, our very own proprietary Coffee Co. The open, post-industrial space also hosts private events during the evening when the chefs of 13th Street Kitchens, its parent restaurant group, collaborate on special menus spanning various cuisines.
Prohibition Taproom - Located in a building that has been a pub since the 1800s, Prohibition Taproom puts good food, good drink and good times above all else. The menu is created daily to highlight locally farmed ingredients and flavors that pair best with the American beers featured on the bar’s 13 taps and one hand-pulled brew made specifically for Prohibition Taproom. Hoppy Lil’ Hudson, an English style IPA, is produced exclusively by local Sterling Pig, and is named after owners Michael and Jeniphur Pasquarello’s daughter. Open seven days a week, Prohibition Taproom offers comfort food classics with inventive nods to cuisines from all around the world.
Kensington Quarters - KQ is a full-service restaurant and raw bar. We source from the region’s most dedicated farmers & producers to provide our customers the freshest, best-tasting food possible. Established in 2014, our mission is to support local agriculture by giving small farmers an outlet for the food they grow. Our kitchen uses sustainable seafood, heritage grains, seasonal produce, local dairy and artisanal products to produce delicious and inventive dishes, with a creative and eclectic beverage program to match.
La Chinesca - Philly’s first Mexicali dining experience, La Chinesca, is located in the Spring Arts neighborhood, next door to Union Transfer, one of the city’s premier music venues. In the spirit of all 13th Street Kitchens restaurants, the focus is to offer guests a unique and exceptional dining experience. The menu features local fare with global influences from Northern Mexico's Baja region alongside Chinese American flavors that evolve seasonally. A curated beverage menu with a variety of options including artisan cocktails, local craft beers, wines, agua frescas, and more are available.
