The Kwame Onwuachi Restaurant Group is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to join our leadership team. With celebrated restaurants like Tatiana in New York City and Dōgon in Washington, D.C., Chef Kwame Onwuachi has built a reputation for redefining fine dining through culture, storytelling, and uncompromising standards.

The Role

This Chef de Cuisine will oversee back-of-house operations for an exciting new project, managing a team of approximately 20, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks. The position carries full responsibility for kitchen leadership: financial performance, systems, culture, and daily execution. Working in close collaboration with Chef Kwame, you’ll uphold his culinary vision while contributing your own voice to menu development and team growth.

  • Proven leadership experience as a CDC or Executive Sous Chef in a high-volume, high-standard restaurant

  • Systems-driven operator who thrives on structure, consistency, and accountability

  • A mentor and cultural leader committed to developing young talent into future leaders

  • Strong financial acumen with confidence in P&L oversight, cost control, and labor management

  • Calm under pressure, clear in communication, and passionate about excellence in every detail

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($110,000.00 - $125,000.00)
