The Role
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be the face of our shop, providing exceptional customer service and guiding our customers on their wine and spirits journey. A successful candidate is a confident, motivated, and reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and engage them in conversations to help them find the perfect product, whether they are a novice or a connoisseur.
- Sales: Advise customers on wine and spirit purchases, including food pairings, and promote in-store sales.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain and expand your knowledge of our portfolio, including new arrivals, classic regions, and emerging trends. We offer ongoing training and tastings to support your development.
- Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking shelves to ensure a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor.
- Operations: Operate our Point of Sale (POS) system, process transactions accurately, and handle online or telephone orders.
- Store Maintenance: Contribute to general tidiness and upkeep of the store.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or wine and spirits sales is required.
- Knowledge: Excellent and expanding knowledge of major wine and spirits regions, varietals, and production methods.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and teammates.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and move cases of wine (40+ lbs) regularly.
- Legal Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Availability: Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($23.00 - $26.00)
