Come be a part of Townhouse - Birmingham! At Townhouse - Birmingham, we are always seeking individuals with creativity, passion, and the drive to be the best. We admire those who want a seat (and a voice) at the table; those who wish to be strong contributing members of our growing team. If you want a career with a progressive company and appreciate being part of a supportive and collaborative team, Townhouse - Birmingham is looking for YOU. We are committed to our people with top competative pay & benefits, career long training and development as well as endless opportunities for growth…so what are you waiting for?

SERVICE ARTIST

Townhouse - Birmingham strives to provide the finest culinary offerings paired with gracious and enlightened hospitality. Our ideal candidate has an enthusiastic personality and is someone who is humble and dedicated to growth and continued education of food, beverage and hospitality and is eager to be a valued and contributing member of our organization.

The Essentials:

  • Active listeners who understand that as a Service Team Member, you are the guide and host of the evening.
  • Those who care about the details and take ownership in everything they do.
  • Teachers - there are more bad teachers than weak links. We are only as good as the people we surround ourselves with.
  • Team player mentality - full hands in, full hands out.
  • Organized individuals who support consistency.

In addition to the above, we look for people that posses the following knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the role. However, we are always willing to train anyone with the right attitude and desire to grow, as you can't teach hospitality.

  • 1+ years of serving experience, preferably in a high volume or fine dining setting.
  • A general understanding of Food, Liquor, Wine and Beer - with a passion to continue a higher level of understanding on all of these subjects.
  • Ability to follow and execute steps of service.
  • Understanding that we are curators of experiences, not order takers.
  • A drive to be organized.
  • Ability to maintain menu knowledge - including allergies, restrictions, modifications etc.
  • An understanding of anticipatory service.
  • A deep understanding of our menu, our execution of service and our standards following training, and the ability and desire to consistently deliver on all of the above.
  • Capable to understand and solve problems with a calm and collective demeanor.
