Position Overview:

We’re seeking a hospitality-forward Barback to join our opening team. This position is essential to both guest service and team support. The Barback will assist with bar prep, stocking, and service maintenance. The barback will also act as a team player and deliver outstanding experiences to our guests. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide genuine and professional hospitality at all times.
• Communicate between bar, kitchen, service team and leadership to ensure a consistent, timely and memorable experience for our guests.
• Follow steps of service with an eye for detail and heart of hospitality.
• Anticipate guest needs and address them promptly.
• Be ready to speak about our concept.
• Show understanding of our food, cocktails, and wine offerings.
• Assist in bar set-up and prep work.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the bar area, adhering to Department of Health and internal standards.
• Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing duties to our standards.
• Perform duties as assigned by leadership in order to drive and maintain our passion for hospitality, quality food and beverage.
• Support fellow team members during service.
• Participate in daily preshift meetings.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in full-service restaurant or upscale dining
• Current ServSafe and Basset certification
• Calm, clear, and professional communication skills
• Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate a physically active service environment.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $12.62 / hr + tips
