Job Duties & Responsibilities:
● Maintains warmth and hospitality in all correspondence with guests
● Has a strong working knowledge of La Esquina reservations software (Resy) and reservation policies
● Has strong communications skills to navigate conversations over the phone and via email to ensure our guests needs are met at all times
● Encourages walk-ins and bar business
● Maintains a warm, hospitable, and friendly environment for guests and co-workers
● Complete coat check for all guests in a hospitable manner
● Greets guests and determines the best way that we can take care of them: seat reservations,
send guests to the bar, maintain a waitlist when necessary, all while constantly communicating
with the guests
● Communicates all necessary guest information with the team to set everyone up for success
(allergy alerts, VIPs, special requests, celebrations, etc.)
● Actively engages with guests, before, during and after their experience
● Commits to passionate, intense, uncompromisingly humble hospitality and high-quality guest
experience
● Consistently executes food, beverage, service, and hospitality that aligns with the La Esquina
brand
Atmosphere and cleanliness:
• Meet company standards of presentation and personal hygiene
• Consistently deliver highest standards of service
• Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keep work area clean and organized
• Inform Manager on Duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations
Essential Functions:
• Exudes excellence in hospitality both for internal and external guest
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in a variety of technology systems, particularly reservations software
• The ability to define and effectively solve a variety of changing situations under stress
• Passion for exceptional hospitality, food, and beverages
• Able to lift 40+ lbs.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the
business
• Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to
perform essential job functions
• Ability to perform essential job functions when working under stress, in fast-paced environment
• The ability to speak, understand, read and write in English
• The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
• The ability to understand basic math
• The ability to work independently or as part of a team
• The ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day
• Adaptable in fast-paced and challenging work environments
• Able to approach their work with a sense of ownership and work with a sense of urgency
Experience
• 1+ years’ front of house experience for similar caliber concept
• High school diploma or GED preferred
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00)
