The Role

We’re looking for a true industry veteran to step into the role of Co-General Manager. This is not an entry-level management gig. You’ve been around the block, you know how to run a restaurant inside and out, and you’re looking for a long-term home where you can build something with real staying power.

This role is as much about leadership as it is about execution. You’ll set the standard, lead by example, and be the running mate to ownership in building Chapel Street into the kind of restaurant everyone in Chicago talks about. We’re looking for a passionate, hands-on hospitality leader. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a vibrant operation that includes a full-service restaurant, lively bar, and welcoming cafe with take out food and beverage, all connected to a downtown Chicago hotel.

Our ideal candidate will understand how to balance the requirements of helping to grow and manage a medium large scale restaurant with over 50 employees, with the day to day demands of supporting each individual department. You will be dynamic, adaptable, positive and passionate. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Work as a partner with the existing GM. As this is a 17 hour/7 day operation, consistent hands-on management on the floor is imperative to our future success.
  • Oversee daily operations across the restaurant, bar, and café to ensure consistency, excellence, and a genuine sense of hospitality.
  • Collaborate closely with hotel leadership to coordinate service, optimize guest flow, and capture every opportunity to enhance the guest experience.
  • Support and develop a talented team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and pride in service.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and execution helping us to grow sales, innovate, and meet demand at a high level.
  • Scheduling and HR across Front of House and Barista, excluding bar team.
  • Events coordination and management

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $95,000.00)
