Job Details

Lark Pizza is opening a new wood-fired pizza concept and looking to expand our team and seeking a strong LEAD PREP Cook, specifically with knowledge of DOUGH

Candidates must have relevant PREP Cook experience within the hospitality industry. 

Ideal Candidates:

  • At least 2 year of kitchen experience

  • Experience making Neapolitan or Artisanal style pizzas dough, or other relevant dough making experience

  • Master pizza production in a hand crafted pizza oven

  • Work a busy service smoothly

  • Exceptional eye for detail

  • Highly organized, detail oriented and punctual

  • Great attitude, respectful and a team player

  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 50 pounds

 

Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leading Prep tasks in the kitchen
  • Ensuring other prep cooks are following recopies and prep schedules
  • Daily Dough production
  • Receiving orders
  • Preparation of food for menu
  • Communication and establishment of dish pars
  • Knowledge of all culinary functions in the kitchen
  • Trouble-shooting any problems that may arise
  • Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen
  • Station maintenance and cleanliness
  • Maintain a positive, pleasant, attitude every shift
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Requirements:

  • Available to work various shifts through the week, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to walk and stand during entire shift.
  • Ability to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and cut.
  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time.
  • Frequent washing of hands
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cutting, burning, slipping, tripping

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Culinary degree and/or 2 yrs experience
  • Culinary knowledge and skills
  • Organizational skills and multi-task oriented

Recently opened, meet Lark Pizza, a new specialty pizza concept on the vibrant Guild Row campus in Avondale.  Lark Pizza will serve neo-Neapolitan-style pizza with blistered, airy-yet-crisp crusts, topped with seasonal ingredients and Italian classics.  The pizzeria promises to feature pies topped with Lardon’s signature house-cured salumi, staying true to Meadowlark Hospitality’s ingredient-driven ethos.   Expect light and crushable cocktails and a thoughtful by-the-glass wine list focused on natural, easy-drinking selections ideal for warm weather. Our Other Concepts:

Lardon (Michelin Bib Gourmand 2022-24), highlights cured meats, artisanal cheeses, sandwiches and coffee in an old world style café environment. Our newly launched dinner service is our take on coastal French fare, with Midwestern sourced ingredients.
