Summary of Position:  

Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional cafe experience for all our guests. Ensure an accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality traditional espresso beverages for our guests.                      

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• Prepare and serve coffee, cortado, americano, latte and cappuccino based on standard recipes.
• Recommends coffee flavor profiles to customers- locate any opportunities upselling.
• Possess full knowledge of local roasters and tea offerings that we feature.
• Participate in a culture of innovation by contributing ideas for house and seasonal coffee and tea beverages.
• Learn the names and personally recognize our regular guests.
• Takes ownership of the coffee bar and maintains cleanliness in all areas including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, storage areas, and prep stations.
• Taking care of our guests using our methods for delivering contagious hospitality.

Qualifications:

• Must have exceptional grooming habits.
• Comfortable working early morning hours a must.
• At least one year of past Barista experience.
• Have working knowledge of traditional espresso beverages.
• Possess basic math skills and can handle money and operate a point of sales system.
• Basic knowledge of 2-group espresso machine and commercial coffee maker.
• Works quickly and efficiently.
• Works well both independently and as a team member.
• Responsible and reliable.
• Outgoing friendly personality
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent multi-tasking and attention to detail
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Able to lift 50 lbs
