Working as a part of our pastry team, while also leading and organizing the program. This role is ~45 hours, 5 days a week.

Produce all pastries for Thea (laminated doughs, loaves, cakes and yeasted breads) maintaining consistency and product according to designated pars.

What we’re looking for:

Someone with 1-3 years of experience in either sourdough bread or pastry (particularly viennoiserie), with an interest in experimentation and R&D.

Natural Teachers — patient, but serious about quality. Experience in training, management and leadership is a must, Spanish language experience is a plus!

A person who can both take charge and also roll up their sleeves next to the team.

Someone who thrives in a high-energy, and ever-changing environment and is ready to take on DOH compliance, ordering, organization, coordinating with prep and porters, and helping to maintain our shared work environment.

A person who wants to be part of our larger restaurant family and explore the ways to connect Thea's bread team with the broader Thea, Theodora and Miss Ada teams.

Physical Requirements:
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time [over 7 hours]
- Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily
- Be comfortable bending, sitting, walking extended distances including up and down flights of stairs, and moving.
- Be comfortable walking up and down stairs frequently, including while carrying large containers
