Located in Fishtown, Philadelphia, Wm. Mulherin’s Sons is an urban Italian restaurant and hotel thoughtfully converted from a former 19th century whiskey blending and bottling factory.

Mulherin’s features rustic Italian, wood-fired cuisine that emphasizes the smokiness and char of the wood burning oven & grill. We serve a casual, yet sophisticated & seasonally driven menu in a hip and nostalgic environment. 

The beverage menu features quality-driven cocktails along with a curated list of well-crafted beer and approachable wines from the Old and New World, carefully selected to complement the style of cuisine.

We are looking for experienced servers to join our team.  All applicants must be able to work weekend mornings, during our high-volume brunch services.

Server Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet tables with enthusiasm and a genuine smile welcoming their presence
  • Strong, upbeat and positive personality
  • Adhere to established service standards and protocols
  • Ring in orders timely and correctly
  • Offer suggestions for beverage and food, by genuinely investing in and enhancing the guest’s experience
  • Check in after courses are dropped within an appropriate timeframe to ensure their satisfaction
  • If a guest has a qualm, bring it to the attention of a manager immediately and evaluate how to proceed from there
  • Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail
  • Commitment to embodying genuine hospitality and helping to cultivate a positive working environment 
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment

Required Experience:

  • Knowledge of both classic and current food and beverage trends
  • Minimum 2-3 years of service experience in an upscale setting
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
  • Sunday availability is a must

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($2.83) plus tips

Chef Anton Bolling is serving urban wood-fired Italian in the painstakingly preserved Fishtown icon of the early 20th Century Mulherin whiskey business. In addition to Chef Bollings menu of small plates, pastas, and grilled meats; Mulherins features a killer pizza program as well as wine, beer & cocktail lists curated by a team that has been behind some of Philadelphia's best beverage programs.
