Lead Bartender

Banshee is a new restaurant opening soon in Graduate Hospital from the team behind Cheu Noodle Bar and Bing Bing Dim Sum. We are a neighborhood bistro in Philadelphia, serving casual cuisine inspired by the restaurants and wine bars of Paris, London and Spain.
Our menu focuses on lighter fare with an emphasis on vegetables, seafood and house made bread. Dishes will range from snacks and small bites up to shareable entrees.

We are seeking a skilled, professional, and knowledgeable Lead Bartender to join our team and who is interested in contributing to a developing cocktail program and helping to shape a new bar program.  Availability for 5 shifts a week and on weekend nights is required.  

We are looking to cultivate an evolving cocktail menu that complements our food, which will change seasonally and focus on vegetables and seafood.  Ideal candidates posses a thorough background in cocktail and liquor knowledge, costing and pricing cocktails, and wine knowledge also considered a benefit.  Our full bar will feature a signature cocktail list, a wine list available both by the glass and bottle, and beer on tap and in cans.  Bartenders will also be responsible for catering to bar guests who will have the full food menu available to order.

Responsibilities:
-Preparation of cocktail ingredients and components.
-Setting up and maintaining a clean and efficient bar workstation.
-Attending to the drink service needs of the bar guests and dining room.
-Serving the restaurant's full menu to bar guests.
-Training future Bartenders and helping to train relevant other staff members.
-Assisting in staff alcohol education. 

Requirements:
-3 to 5 years experience in high volume bartending positions.
-Expert cocktail and liquor knowledge, classic cocktail knowledge.
-Ability to work as part of a team with servers, backservers, and food runners.
-Maintain a cordial and professional attitude with guests at all times.
-Attention to detail in executing daily duties and a desire to maintain a clean workspace.
-Past experience training bar staff.
-Past involvement and experience in signature cocktail creation.
