CHEZ FIFI, an elevated bistro from the acclaimed restaurant group behind Sushi Noz and Noz 17, is located on NYC's Upper East Side.  Chez Fifi has a downstairs dining room and upstairs cocktail lounge.  The menu has a focus on bistro classics and seafood sourced from the world's best markets and purveyors.

Chez Fifi is looking for LINE COOKS to join our culinary team and execute at the highest level. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic candidates to learn and grow with Chez Fifi. 

This position reports to the Chez Fifi Executive Chef and kitchen management. We are offering $21-$25 an hour.  


Line Cook responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Preparation and execution of the menu with precision and consistency. 
  • Development of proficiency throughout the kitchen, including preparation and cleaning of stations, and communicating proactively with the team to facilitate a smooth and efficient kitchen.
  • Displaying a working knowledge of all ingredients and preparations used on the menu and participation in a professionally run service.
  • Supporting other areas of the kitchen and kitchen team as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen space everyday, according to NYCDOH guidelines .

Qualified Line Cooks will have:

  • At least 1 year of full-service cooking experience in a comparable restaurant setting
  • Passion for cooking and restaurant hospitality
  • Detail oriented, productive, and organized nature.
  • Friendly personality as part of a cohesive team, lending support to colleagues
  • Eagerness to embrace change, and to learn and adapt to new systems and service steps
  • Broad and flexible availability to work

Physical Demands:
This position requires seeing, hearing, speaking, frequent use of hands, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, bending and moving intermittently during working hours.

Nestled in a charming Upper East Side townhouse, Chez Fifi invites guests into a refined and inviting atmosphere with a bistro inspired menu, a salon featuring innovative cocktails, and wines sourced from around the globe.

Executive Chef Zack Zeidman offers an a la carte menu that riffs on Parisian bistro classics with a nod to coastal northern Spain. A meal begins with foie gras terrine maison, deviled crab baked San Sebastian style, clam risotto, Escargots a la Bourgignonne, and steak tartare.

Plats Principaux such as the Poulet Rôti with foie gras jus, Filet mignon au poivre, and wild Dover Sole a la plancha are all in great company with a Pommes Fifi for the table. For dessert, classics such as Mousse au Chocolat and Baba au Rhum offer a little something sweet.

The beverage program, curated by Master Mixologist Yumi Nemoto, features an innovative martini menu including an umami-packed “Blue Cheese” with Roquefort-washed vodka, sake and olive brine, and a refreshingly complex “Tomato” featuring tomato liqueur, tomato water, rosemary and basil oil.
