Bartender
We are seeking a full time Bartender for our restaurant in the Santa Monica Canyon. In this role, you will serve bespoke cocktails and spirits to guests from a beautifully designed bar while providing exceptional personalized service. You will utilize state-of-the-art techniques and equipment to execute a range of contemporary, classic and pre-prohibition era cocktails.
Overview
We are a high-end Modern French Restaurant with a small team focused on creating amazing products for our guests. We aim to create a fun, innovative, and professional atmosphere in our bar. You will be working closely with our owner and the Management Team.
The candidate should be able to fulfill their expectations as an essential team member while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Accountability to standards of the bar and restaurant
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages consistent with the restaurant’s standard beverage recipes.
- Communicate daily specials and make recommendations to guests.
- Receive and process payments (cash, credit cards, etc.) while adhering to accounting guidelines.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area through disposing of all waste, clearing and cleaning all glassware, and wiping down bar and preparation areas.
- Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits. Fill out requisitions and all necessary paperwork at the end of each shift.
- Partake in regular testing to ensure product knowledge is to standard.
- Attend regularly scheduled training meetings to develop knowledge and skills.
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere and engage with guests when appropriate.
- Learn the names and preferences of regulars and greet them personally upon their visit.
- Assist in the use of data keeping to record guests’ preferences and habits.
- Maintain a working knowledge and skill set to execute off-menu classic cocktails.
- Effectively communicate details about the restaurant’s artwork, vendors, and other relationships.
- Maintain the privacy and comfort of all patrons.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and front of house teams to deliver seamless food service to guests seated at the bar.
- Maintain thorough operational knowledge of all bar equipment.
- Take bar inventory and restock supplies as needed.
- Assist in the creation of new beverages and menu items.
- Follow Health and Safety Standards when handling food and beverage.
- Serve alcohol in accordance with California Law.
- Cultivate memorable dining experiences for guests.
- Menu and wine knowledge
- Be able to frequently lift 50lbs on a regular and continuing basis.
- Classic cocktail expertise.
- Fine dining bar experience
- Responsible Beverage Service Certified.
- Food Handler Certified.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($17.87) plus tips
