Cook —
San Francisco, CA | The Good Eating Company
About Us
At The Good Eating Company, we believe in the power of food and hospitality to create meaningful connections. Our culinary team is made up of passionate professionals who care deeply about quality ingredients, thoughtful technique, and exceptional service.
At the "Ohana Floor" at Salesforce Tower — a stunning open exhibition space with panoramic views — our chefs and cooks work together to create memorable experiences for guests through food that is both refined and approachable. We take pride in our craft, our teamwork, and our ability to deliver moments of genuine delight.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Cook to join our exhibition kitchen team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chefs, and fellow cooks to prepare and execute both savory and pastry offerings for daily service and special events.
This is a hands-on position for someone who values creativity, consistency, and collaboration. You’ll work with beautiful, seasonal ingredients, contribute ideas, and grow alongside a team that values learning and craftsmanship as much as flavor and presentation.
What You’ll Do
-
Prepare and execute high-quality dishes for daily service and events.
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times.
-
Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation standards with care and consistency.
-
Support menu development and bring fresh, creative ideas to the table.
-
Work with local and sustainable ingredients whenever possible.
-
Minimize waste and practice thoughtful, sustainable cooking.
-
Treat ingredients, tools, and teammates with respect and professionalism.
-
Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with the kitchen team.
-
Manage time efficiently and stay organized during prep and service.
-
Help foster a positive, supportive, and solution-oriented work environment.
What We’re Looking For
-
Solid culinary skills and a genuine passion for food and hospitality.
-
Attention to detail and pride in quality, consistency, and presentation.
-
A collaborative, team-first attitude with strong communication skills.
-
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events.
-
Knowledge of food handling and safety standards.
-
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kilograms unassisted.
-
Current food safety certification.
-
A desire to grow, learn, and continually refine your craft.
Nice to Have
-
Experience in high-end, event-driven, or exhibition-style kitchens.
-
Familiarity with seasonal or locally sourced menus.
-
Experience in a large-scale or hospitality-focused culinary setting.
-
Creative curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring new techniques and trends.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
You’ll join a team that values creativity, collaboration, and hospitality in equal measure. We believe kitchens should be both professional and joyful — a place where every dish reflects care, and every cook has a voice. Together, we aim to create food that connects people and moments that linger long after the last bite.
