Yanaga Kappo Izakaya is a full service Japanese "Dive" bar. Leaning towards a classic Izakaya setting, small plates and a full sushi program. Headed by Chef Kevin Yanaga & Michael Ego, we are looking to expand as we go into the fall season. We are looking to start with addition of support staff as we promote within. Currently we are looking for: Food Runners, Hosts, and Barbacks. Either full time or part time, we are open 6 days a week and closed on Tuesdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and support our service style, adapting quickly when needed.
- Serve as the eyes and ears of the kitchen, relaying information between the dining room and kitchen efficiently.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the menu, dining room sections, table and position numbers, and service etiquette.
- Respond to guests' needs and questions promptly, while also assisting the kitchen when necessary.
- Understand the relationship between the kitchen and dining room, food etiquette, and the overall flow of service is essential.
- Responsible for delivering dishes from the kitchen to the correct guest and ensuring that the dining experience is smooth.
- Clearing tables.
