Bar Pisellino is a classic, morning-till-late Italian bar celebrating l’arte del bere, the art of drinking. Inspired by the elegant coffee and cocktail bars of Florence, Milan, and Venice, Bar Pisellino features the highest quality local and seasonal products, from exceptional distillers, winemakers and breweries, as well as fine imported liqueurs and spirits. We are seeking an experienced, proven leader to join our team as our bar manager. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on leadership experience from one of the World's 50 Best Bars or equivalent, embodying excellence in hospitality, beverage innovation, and team development. We are passionate about Italian spirits, coffee and cocktail culture, and seek a fellow beverage enthusiast and proactive leader to join our team.

As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for leading front of house staff, cultivating their skills and knowledge, and sustaining Bar Pisellino's high standards of quality and execution. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, ordering, quality control, scheduling, and other key aspects of bar operations. You must be a role model for outstanding hospitality and foster teamwork and mutual respect among all employees. Exceptional attention to detail and absolute integrity and professional ethics are essential to the position.

The Bar Manager at Bar Pisellino is a multi-faceted role that combines strategic leadership, meticulous organization, and strong business acumen. To be successful in this position, here are some of the key qualities we are seeking:

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Inspiring the Team: As a leader and mentor, your primary role is to motivate and guide the front-of-house team. A successful Bar Manager fosters a collaborative, high-energy environment where staff members feel valued, empowered, and inspired to elevate the guest experience.
  • Training & Development: You will also play a hands-on role in developing the skills of your team, from bartenders to servers, ensuring they not only understand the nuances of the drinks but also Bar Pisellino’s mission and values.

Uphold and Maintain Quality Standards

  • Ensure all cocktails, spirits, wines, coffees and service consistently meet or exceed Bar Pisellino’s established quality standards.
  • Maintain consistency in preparation, presentation, and flavor profiles across all shifts and team members.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks and tastings to ensure all products and techniques remain at a world-class level.
  • Implement SOPs (standard operating procedures) for beverage preparation and service protocols.

Creativity & Innovation

  • Creativity in the beverage program is crucial for maintaining a dynamic menu that keeps guests excited and engaged. As the leader of the beverage program, you will be in charge of creating cocktails, sourcing unique spirits, and eventually designing seasonal drink menus that align with Bar Pisellino’s ethos and identity.


Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in one of the Best 50 Bars in the World or equivalent high-caliber cocktail bar environment.
  • Deep knowledge of Italian spirits, amari, classic cocktails, and Italian café/bar culture.
  • Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 3-5 years in a bar management or senior bar leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and lead high standards consistently.
  • Exceptional multitasking, organizational, and communication skills.

Fluent in English; proficient in Italian and Spanish

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($90,000.00 - $110,000.00)
