Market Assistant General Manager
About the RoleUrbanspace is seeking an experienced Market Assistant General Manager to lead the daily operations of our vibrant open-air markets. Each year, these events attract millions of visitors and feature more than 150 food and retail vendors, along with internally operated kiosks.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional market experiences. The Assistant General Manager will serve as a key member of the operations team, taking on a dynamic and multifaceted role that demands adaptability, strong leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. This role supports the Market General Manager in ensuring cleanliness, operational excellence, and exceptional vendor and guest experiences.
- Keep the market clean and guest-ready at all times.
- Check in with porters and ensure active site coverage.
- Walk the market regularly to confirm vendors are open and operations are smooth.
- Build strong vendor relationships and address on-site needs.
- Assist market guests with directions, vendor information, and local recommendations.
- Monitor and manage generator fuel, trash/recycling removal, and wastewater schedules.
- 2+ years in market, retail, hospitality, or event management.
- A hands-on, hospitality-first approach.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
- Excellent communication skills with vendors, guests, and staff.
-Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $30.00)
