Job Details

Ocean Cut is looking for an outgoing positive leader who can manage a team of service staff. Ability to work as a team, problem solve and multi-task are a must.

Managers are responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the restaurant's front of house operations. In doing so, they are accountable for the overall business performance of the restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, health, and safety.

Typical work tasks include:
• Communicating with host stand on table updates and set ups
• Managing staff and providing them with constructive feedback
• Direct and interact with staff members in a fair dignified manner
• Responding to customer complaints in a timely and courteous manner
• Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards
• Meeting and greeting customers
• Training and motivating staff
• Must wash hands regularly according to company guidelines
• Authorize comps and voids for all service personnel
• Accept direction and constructive criticism by executive management
• Promoting teamwork amongst staff members
• Assigning employee work stations
• Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds while standing
• Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures
• Organizing and supervising shifts of all front of house staff members
• Lead by example
• Have thorough understanding of Ocean Cut manual, company culture and philosophies
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Perform more than one task a time
• Be able to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including some weekends and increased work schedules
• Complete projects as assigned in timely manner
• Be able to stand and walk for an entire shift

Desired Skills & Experience
• Experience in high volume restaurant management
• Seasoned white table cloth background
• Minimum of 5 years experience in similar setting
• May not work under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs
• Refrain from smoking for the duration of the shift
• Arrive to work on time and in ready to work condition
• Get along with others and be a team player
• Follow all uniform and appearance guidelines as befitting the image of the restaurant for the duration of the shift
