BLACKBARN is an American restaurant and the creation of Chef John Doherty, former Executive Chef of New York’s Waldorf-Astoria. Our “Modern Barn” is located at the north end of Madison Square Park in NYC’s Nomad neighborhood. Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting tables in a timely manner
• Polishing dishes and silverware
• Prepping coffee stations with necessary supplies for daily operations - barista experience a plus!
• Experience with fast-paced dining 
• Demonstrates highly organized work habits
• Communicates clearly and respectfully with everyone on every level 
• Availability to work evenings, days, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Looks for ways to help others and makes a positive impact on the operation
• Finds things to do when there is “nothing to do”
• Experience with fast-pace and/or upscale dining is a plus

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
• Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
• Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
