The Expeditor is a vital member of the team, acting as the logistical liaison between the front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH). This role ensures the smooth and timely flow of service, organizing the team and verifying that all plates meet the culinary team’s standards before they leave the kitchen. Candidates must be willing to work five days a week (40+ hours per week). Open availability is preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Organize the expeditor station prior to service, ensuring all necessary equipment and tools are in place
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the entire menu, including dietary restrictions and allergens
  • Coordinate between the culinary and FOH teams to communicate order information, guest preferences, dietary notes, Persons of Note (PON), and special requests
  • Assist with pre-service training, including food running procedures, dish descriptions, and ingredient details
  • Direct servers and server assistants to maintain kitchen organization, flow, and cleanliness
  • Verify that all plates meet the required standards for quality, quantity, and presentation
  • Foster positive working relationships between FOH and BOH teams through open and effective communication
  • Respond to guest complaints and management requests with professionalism and urgency
  • Follow safety and emergency protocols to protect staff, guests, and property
  • Promote a harmonious and efficient work environment through courteous and cooperative behavior
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers

Qualifications

  • One (1) or more years of experience as an expeditor, server, or in a related role
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, chef-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Quick thinking and composure under high-pressure service situations

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for 8+ hours per shift

  • Able to lift, move, or pull up to 35 lbs

  • Able to climb stairs multiple times per shift

  • Able to carry a full tray with either hand

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($17.00) plus tips
