Metro Cinema is an upscale, private cinema concept from the founder of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.  In addition to movie screenings, the 20 private suites are also available for meetings, events, sports, karaoke and gaming.  This is the very first private cinema concept in the United States and will feature upscale, contemporary dining as well as a fantastic wine list and cocktail program.  We are looking for hospitality-centric lovers of great film, great food and great drinks to help us usher in the newest innovation in the cinema industry.

Metro Cinema is seeking Front Desk associates to join our team.

You’ll also support the pre-opening process, including helping to define how we operate, helping to develop SOPs, and launching operational systems.

Experience in luxury hospitality, restaurant or entertainment venues are essential, as is a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a love of movies. Event experience is a major plus, as Metro Cinema specializes in hosting private screenings and events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB 

• The ability to speak, see, hear, read, and write. 
• Must be a team player and have excellent interpersonal skills and confidence.
• The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction. 
• The ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking up to 8-10 hours a day. 
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Exposure to wet floors, noise, and temperature extremes. 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Responsible for greeting guests as they enter venue. 
• Making sure that the lobby bar, entryway, bathrooms, and menus are kept clean throughout the shift. 
• Responsible for job duties as outlined. 
• Maintaining a clean and organized station 
• Timely and courteous service to Metro Cinema guests in adherence to Metro Cinema policies and standards both at  station and all other suites in the venue.
• Adherence to company, state, and county, service & sanitation standards
• Strict adherence to posted schedule, clock in/out times, scheduling policies and procedures
• Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Warmly and graciously greet guests upon arrival 
• Holding the door open as guests enter and leave (if possible) 
• Thanking and inviting guests to return as they leave the venue.
• Entering guests info in POS 
• Assisting guests with Reservations when needed
• Providing an estimated wait time and always maintaining a professional, courteous attitude if confronted with hostile, impatient or irate guests.
• Responsible for handing over guests to Service Captains when suites are clean and properly set.
• Keep in constant contact with Bartenders, Service Captains, Servers, Server Assistant, Cocktail Server, Expo, Chefs & Managers.
• Accommodating special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Maintaining a FRIENDLY, HELPFUL AND POSITIVE attitude.
• Responsible for all side work and cleaning duties (both before, during and after shift)
• Assisting Bartenders, Service Captains, Servers, Server Assistant, Cocktail Server, Expo, Chefs & Managers  in their tasks when necessary
• Carrying out all other duties assigned by management
