Cafe Santorini is a vibrant, high-energy kitchen dedicated to authentic flavors and exceptional quality. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pizzaiolo to join our team and take charge of producing outstanding pizzas that keep our guests coming back.

Job Summary:
The Pizzaiolo is responsible for preparing, stretching, topping, and baking pizzas to perfection, ensuring consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation. This role requires strong dough-handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to recipes and quality standards.

• Stretch and shape dough to order, maintaining consistency in size and thickness.

• Bake pizzas in specialty ovens, ensuring proper cooking times and crust texture.

• Monitor oven temperature and adjust cooking times as needed.

• Maintain mise en place for the pizza station, including prepping toppings, cheeses, and garnishes.

• Follow portion control and plating standards for every order.

• Keep work area clean, stocked, and organized during service.

• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring product quality and proper storage.

• Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timely orders.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Pizzaiolo, Pizza Cook, or similar role in a professional kitchen.

• Strong knowledge of dough fermentation, shaping, and baking techniques.

• Ability to work quickly and maintain quality during high-volume service.

• Understanding of different pizza styles (Neapolitan, New York, Roman, etc.).

• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work near high heat.

• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with wood-fired or specialty ovens.

• Knowledge of seasonal and artisanal toppings.

• Passion for Italian cuisine and traditional cooking methods.
