Leland Eating and Drinking House seeking talented line chefs to join our team
Located in Brooklyn’s Prospect Heights neighborhood, Leland Eating and Drinking House promotes sustainable hand-made cuisine while supporting local farms, creating natural and healthy food without forgoing flavor. The culinary team is responsible for daily bread program, handmade pasta, in-house fermentations, fish butchery and nose to tail animal butchery. We are looking for someone who is eager to be a teammate amongst professionals, help create positive culture and become a student who learns alongside the team. If you are a chef with a big egos, are too good to wash dishes or have issues with controlling your temper please do not apply.
General requirements:
- Motivated, hard working, enthusiastic, team player
- Strong knowledge and interest in food and beverage
- Passion to reduce waste, recycling and composting
- Availability to work days, nights, and weekends
- NYC Food Protection Certificate Card Holder
- fully vacinated for covid 19
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Sense of humor and positive attitude
- Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation guidelines of NYDOH and maintain a letter A grade
