Concrete Hospitality Group is currently looking for Hosts at the following locations:
- The Royalton Park Avenue
- Recreation Bar
With multiple locations throughout New York City in some of Manhattan's trendiest neighborhoods, we are looking for energetic Hosts with a positive attitude to join their Crew!
What You’ll Do
- Guest Engagement: Welcome guests with a smile and set the tone for their Catria Cucina & Bar experience.
- Outstanding Hospitality: As a Host, you will be the first face our guests see when they are welcomed into the restaurant.
- Commitment to Quality Service: Ensure timely, efficient, and above all, a memorable experience. From taking answering the phone in a professional manner to escorting guests to their tables, you will be making a great first impression.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the kitchen and dining room teams to keep service flowing smoothly – it’s all about creating a seamless experience.
- Attention to Detail: Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked – because great service starts with great preparation.
- Impactful Impressions: The Host is responsible for managing reservations, providing a warm welcome, guiding guests to their table, providing intro to the menu and server, and offering a genuine farewell and thank you.
Job Description:
- Complete opening side work checklist for shift daily
- Answer guest phone calls and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to guest questions
- Call to confirm reservations, as applicable, prior to each shift
- Make reservations for guests, offering alternatives when the desired slot is not available
- Manage flow of reservations for each shift to ensure optimal seating pattern and service
- Ensure dining room is properly set for guests prior to service
- Set host stand for service, ensuring all resources (paper, pens, business cards, etc.) are stocked
- Ensure VIP’s are recognized by name, seated appropriately at designated VIP tables; Ensure VIP guests are communicated to Manager on Duty, Chef, and Server when seated.
- Maintain cleanliness of entrance and other waiting areas throughout shift by sweeping, cleaning windows and doors, arranging chairs, etc.
- Ensure servers are seated as equitably as possible throughout the shift
- Complete closing side work checklist for shift daily
- Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keep work area clean and organized
- Inform Manager on Duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations
- Maintain general knowledge of restaurant, location, transportation, Management team, etc.
- Complete other duties as assigned by Management
Other Requirements:
- Able to lift 30+ pounds
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Maintain friendly, helpful, and positive attitude at all times
- Polished personal presentation; Grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
- Communicates information effectively and efficiently
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
- Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintains professionalism when working under stress
- Attends mandatory staff meetings
- Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times
- Must possess a flexible and varied schedule to accommodate business demands, including weekends and Holidays
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Spanish is a plus
- Personal appearance and professional dress required

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00) plus tips
