Job Details
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Cook to join our dynamic culinary team in this iconic Grand Central location. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll work closely with our Pastry Chef, Executive Chef, and Chef de Cuisine, to execute a variety of pastries and desserts for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
Please indicate if you are interested in opening or closing shifts. Opening begins at 5:00am, closing shifts begin at 6:00pm. Grand Brasserie is open every day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The restaurant is open daily from 5:30am - 2:00am.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute a range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to the highest standards.
- Assist in daily mise en place and production for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen.
- Follow recipes and plating guidelines consistently.
- Support inventory management and ordering as needed.
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards.
- 4+ year of professional pastry experience preferred.
- Culinary or pastry school training, and/or line cook experience, is a plus.
- Experience with bread and croissant making is highly valued.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work early mornings or late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for pastry arts and hospitality.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $24.00)
