Captain

Essential by Christophe is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and well versed Captain to join our team! The ideal candidate will have 3 years of fine dining experience, possess extensive knowledge of upscale cuisine and wine service, and demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail. As a Captain, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests receive exemplary service that complements our distinguished culinary & beverage offerings. The right candidate will have at least three years of fine dining experience in a fast-paced, kitchen-driven dining environment, strong industry presence and proven success track record.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Manage and oversee the dining room service, ensuring each table receives timely and attentive service.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions and offer recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
• Execute wine service and wine pairings, including recommendations.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff about allergies, special preferences, and guest requests.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with grace and efficiency.
• Carry out opening and closing sidework to maintain an organized dining area, adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas for special events in the private dining room.
• Stay informed about current menu offerings, seasonal changes, and restaurant promotions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fine dining environment, preferably in a Michelin star restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of upscale cuisine, wine pairing, and service etiquette.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and handling billing procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: Hourly plus tips
