Job Details

 Chez Nous, a new French brasserie at The Marlton Hotel, is looking for a dynamic, experienced Floor Manager to join our team of professionals. We are looking for candidates that are highly interested in hospitality, and have a great sense of pride in providing quality guest experiences as well as being a part of a team of happy and gratified staff. The Role:

            The primary role of the Floor Manager of the restaurant will be to lead the staff in providing quality service to guests, and to ensure a positive and safe working environment. We are looking for someone who can lead by example, is passionate about hospitality, and has the ability to manage all aspects of restaurant operations. 

Primary Responsibilities and Goals: 

  • Work with the General Manager to Train FOH staff
  • Respond to guest issues and complaints in a timely manner
  • Ensure quality service and a comfortable working environment

 Skills and Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • 5+ years of NYC Restaurant management experience 
  • Positive attitude, with the ability to work under pressure while remaining patient and polite and ability to maintain grace and composure during high-volume shifts 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask, and to work on the fly when the situation arises
  • Experience with team-building and ability to solve staff conflict, if and when it occurs
  • Ability to work on the floor and be on your feet for extended periods of time 
  • You must have a current NYC Food Handler certificate, or must obtain one within a month of hire 
  • A love or passion for food, restaurants and dining
  • Some working knowledge of Wine, Spirits and Beer is not mandatory, but would be of great benefit
  • Flexible schedule and weekend availability

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $80,000.00)
