Gracie’s Ventures Will Provide:
- Hands-on involvement with the leadership team and front/back-of-house operations as it pertains to Ellie’s dinner service
- A warm, inclusive working environment and organizational culture
- Opportunities to make connections with individuals and businesses in the hospitality and restaurant industry throughout Providence and Rhode Island
Include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and Fabricate Menu Items: Prepare and assemble menu items using Ellie's recipes, with special attention to regular and seasonal or special-tasting menu items.
- Master Food Prep Procedures: Memorize and execute portion sizes, prep tasks, and all basic cooking techniques specific to Ellie's kitchen standards.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain high cleanliness standards in all food prep and storage areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Stocking and Organization: Ensure the kitchen line is properly stocked with sufficient ingredients for service, keeping ingredients organized and accessible.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate clearly and coordinate with fellow cooks and front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth, efficient service.
- Plating and Presentation: Ensure all dishes are consistently plated according to the chefs presentation standards. Pay attention to details of each dish's visual appeal and portioning.
- Respectful interactions with both guests and teammates.
- Timely completion of assigned prep tasks and smooth execution during service.
- Clear and effective communication with all team members, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Consistency in maintaining the quality and presentation standards required by Ellie’s BOH.
Shift Outlook: Friday-Sunday evenings 3pm-9pm. If in culinary school, MUST be available to work during school breaks or have flexibility, and be available to work during summer. We are looking for a year commitment + from any candidate.
Performance Schedule: 90-day informal check-in, 9-12 month formal review

*Compensation is determined by experience and performance. Additional compensatory packages and options are at the Proprietor's discretion and are determined annually. This is a living document; additional responsibilities or modifications are subject to management discretion. Job Descriptions are reviewed annually.
